Rehabilitation Services

At Harbor Beach Community Hospital rehabilitation services include services for Outpatients, Inpatients and Extended Care Rehabilitation Residents. These services are provided by Physical, Occupational, Speech and Sports Medicine Therapists. The combined expertise of our interdisciplinary team focuses on developing an individualized plan of care to meet your needs and goals. This approach helps to decrease discomfort while increasing your feeling of well being and decreasing length of time spent in therapy. Our therapists utilize manual therapies, therapeutic exercise, patient, resident and family education, home exercise programs and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat and cold therapy.

A review of the home environment will provide recommendations for a specialized discharge plan

Physical Therapy provides comprehensive rehab services to those who have suffered neurological trauma. Assists with orthopedic injury and equipment needs.

  • Muscle Strengthening

Speech Therapy - maintain or improve communication through evaluation and treatment. Improved articulation and speech skills, swallowing and eating ability.
